Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bukola Afariogun is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc (ITMB), with accountability for the finance functions which include Treasury, Financial Control, and Investment strategy. He joined ITMB in 2021 from HASAL Bank Nigeria where he was the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank. Bukola has over 17 years of professional experience spanning audit, risk management, business development, accounting, and finance, during which he advised/worked for local and multinational institutions.
Bukola started his career as a Finance officer in Compuleb Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of BoulosNigeria, thereafter he joined First Bank Nigeria as a Service Executive in Finance, Treasury, and Third-party payment (CPC Orile-Iganmu). From First Bank Nigeria, he joined FINCA Impact Finance as a Corporate Treasury Officer, managing the treasury operation of East and West Africa in collaboration with Group Head Treasury in Washington, D.C . Bukola took part in fundraising with many local and International Investment Banks.
As a Chartered Accountant with decade-plus years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Corporate Finance, Treasury Management, and Financial Management. He has worked closely in the last 10 years with the C suite management team and directors, providing information and advice that are tailored towards rejuvenating the organization to be financially sustainable. As a member of ALCO, he has handled deals and negotiations with banks, the federal government, and investors locally and internationally. Bukola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom and is a foreign-trained Chartered accountant certified by ACCA. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (MCIB). Bukola is currently running an MSC-Finance &Accounting at the University of London.
