Chairman of the Board
Mrs. Ene Iyana Okwa is an independent director who brings on board 30 years of distinguished career experience cutting across the public and private sectors including academia.
A graduate of Accounting with a BSc. From the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1986, she holds a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Calabar Nigeria in 2003 and presently undergoing her Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance at Nasarawa State University.
A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria. She is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management and holds a Certification in Internal financial reporting standards (IFRS) from the Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria.
Mrs. Okwa started her accounting career in January 1988 with the firm of Egwu Ogah & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Makurdi as an Audit Trainee, thereafter she joined Tonabok Management Service in June 1988 as Training Management Consultant. In 1991 she was employed by Nicon Hilton Hotel (now Transcorp) as Assistant Financial Controller until July 2005 when she joined Visiere Consulting Services Abuja where she worked in a leading capacity as Managing Partner. In October 2012 she ventured into lecturing as lecturer 1 at Kwararafa University Wukari and in 2013 joined the Federal University, Wukar lecturing various accounting and taxation subjects at two levels and has served as a student Adviser in the Department of Accounting till date.

• Counselling and supporting teammates and subordinates.
• Mentoring newly qualified professionals and would-be professionals.
• Computer literate.
• Use of PC-based Accounting Systems like Fidelio; Sun Systems for accounting as well as non-PC-based systems such as IBM System36 and payroll software.
• Participated in the installation of the Y2K complaint system
• Participated in the installation and changeover to Sun Systems for the Hotel’s Management System.
• Preparation of annual financial and capital budget as well as monthly operations reports.
• Budgetary control and treasury management.
• Preparing financial reports and statistical analysis for performance review and reporting.
• Internal control procedures design, review, and implementation as well as participating in audit and investigation assignments.
• Skills training and On-The-Job training for the Accounting System.
• Credit Control and Management.
• Supervision of the accounting team to ensure effective and efficient functioning with the view of achieving Departmental goals as well as the overall corporate objective.
Mrs. Okwa Ene Iyana was born on January 22, 1966, in Lagos State, Nigeria. She is a native of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, married with four children.
